Wink FU FGS BA
Wink is most known for painting freight trains with her use of very bold and bright girly colors to adorn her basic old-school style.Impressed with her work after painting over more than 200 trains, Wink was recruited into FGS and BA. “I like to think of crews like family,” Wink explains. “I wouldn’t be from a crew just to be from a crew. You make the crew, the crew doesn’t make you.”
Wink started painting graffiti at the age of 16, but she never really had an official name to paint until she met, her now husband of 10 years, Big5 at a friend’s party in ‘96. “He asked me if I wanted to go paint some trains later that night,” Wink recalls. “He said that my eyes were so beautiful he could picture me winking at him. So he called me ‘Wink’.” And I guess you could say the rest is history.

Aside, from pushing her clothing brand “Mrs 5 Clothing”, Wink and her husband continue to remain actively painting graffiti art. “Our date nights still consist of painting trains!”
“One of my most memorable moments painting was when I was painting the Compton yard in ‘97 with friends and all of a sudden we saw two flash lights bouncing right behind us. It was two sheriffs running up in the yard so we all ran off in different directions. Somehow me and Big5 ended up hiding underneath a bum’s mattress! Thank God it was dark because God only knows what was on that thing! As we were hiding the cops were talking shit on their loud speaker about how they were going to ‘fuck us up’ when they find us. After hiding for two hours, the coast was clear and we ran to the car and realized the cops keyed the shit out of my car! So the next day my dad was angry asking what happened to my car. I just made some lame excuse that some girls at school didn’t like me so they keyed my car.”
